Fitted wardrobes in Brighton & Hove.

Made-to-measure wardrobes and built-in storage that use every inch of the room — alcoves, sloping ceilings, awkward chimney breasts and all. Carpentry is the trade Capstone was built around.

About this service

Fitted wardrobes, done properly.

Most Brighton and Hove homes weren't built with storage in mind. Victorian and Edwardian terraces have alcoves either side of the chimney breast, walls that are rarely square and floors that are rarely level. Loft conversions and new-builds bring their own problems — eaves, sloping ceilings and tight landings. Off-the-shelf wardrobes leave gaps; fitted wardrobes are built to the room.

We measure up, talk through how you actually use the space — hanging, shelving, drawers, shoe storage — and build a wardrobe that's scribed to your walls and ceiling so it looks like it's always been there. Doors can be shaker, flat-panel, mirrored or sliding, finished to match the room.

If you've already chosen units from a supplier, we can fit those too. And if the room needs more doing around it — new flooring, skirting, architrave, plastering or decorating — we can take care of the whole room in one job.

  • Full-height fitted wardrobes

Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes scribed to the walls and ceiling — no dust-gathering gaps on top.

  • Alcove wardrobes & units

Built into the alcoves either side of a chimney breast, the classic Brighton & Hove bedroom fix.

  • Sliding-door wardrobes

Space-saving sliding doors for smaller rooms where hinged doors would get in the way.

  • Loft & eaves storage

Storage shaped around sloping ceilings and eaves in loft conversions and top-floor flats.

  • Internal layouts

Hanging rails, shelving, drawers and shoe storage set out around how you actually use it.

  • Supplied units fitted

Already bought your wardrobe units or doors? We'll fit them properly, level and scribed in.

Why Capstone

What you can count on.

  • Built around carpentry

Fitted furniture is carpentry and joinery at its most visible. It's the core of what Capstone does, not something passed on.

  • A clear, written quote

You get the scope and the price in writing before anything is booked. No vague lines, nothing held back to add on at the end.

  • One point of contact

You deal with Capstone from the first message to the final photo. If the job needs a plumber, electrician, plasterer or decorator as well, we line them up and run the programme — you're not juggling numbers.

  • Finished, photographed and followed up

When the work's done you get an invoice and photos of the finished job, and we check in afterwards. If something isn't right, we come back and put it right.

“I had to pass on a decking job recently because I was extremely busy. I trusted Capstone to take it on. They smashed it. Proper tidy work. The client was buzzing, no messing about. It's refreshing having another company you can genuinely rely on when you're overloaded. I'd confidently recommend them to anyone. It's a 10/10 from me.”

Questions

Fitted wardrobes: common questions.

How much do fitted wardrobes cost in Brighton?

It depends on the width and height of the space, the doors and finish you choose, and what goes inside — a single alcove unit is a very different job to a full wall of sliding doors. We'll measure up and give you a fixed, written quote before anything is booked.

How long does it take to fit a wardrobe?

Most fitted wardrobes are measured, built and fitted over a matter of days rather than weeks, but it depends on the size and the finish. You'll get realistic dates with your quote.

Can you build wardrobes into alcoves or under a sloping ceiling?

Yes. Alcoves, chimney breasts, eaves and sloping ceilings are exactly where fitted wardrobes make the most difference, and every unit is scribed to the room.

Can you fit wardrobes I've already bought?

Yes. If you've bought units or doors from a supplier, we can fit them, level them and scribe them in so they look built-in.

Can you do the flooring, skirting and decorating at the same time?

Yes. We can handle the whole room — flooring, skirting, architrave, plastering and decorating — so you only deal with one company.
